Phoned on a Friday mid morning to request a quotation. To our surprise Shane was able to visit us later that day. After walking around garden and discussing what we wanted, he made suggestions, measured the plot and checked what we would wanted matched his plans. Gave a verbal estimate, after doing a quick calculation. That evening we received an email outlining work and costs. We accepted this and next day had a date when the work could start. Again delighted that it was only a couple of weeks to wait, especially as some materials are in short supply. We were contacted a few days before the start date to confirm everything and on the day Shane and Shelly arrived with fully loaded vehicles carrying the tools, machinery (all owned by them not hired) and materials to start the job.

After spending several hours clearing and removing grass and soil they took these away. Returning as informed with gravel, sleepers and posts ready to start the building work. This they did, again within their quoted timescale. Once finished they cleared site and cleaned paths, driveway and pavement. When Shane was happy he had finished we were shown the final results, informed as to future maintenance that would keep the garden looking pristine. Ours was not a big job, approx 20 sq metres of grass to remove, smooth out slopes, build small retaining wall and spread gravel.

It only took 1 day due to their preparedness and having everything planned. The finished job looks fantastic, not just our view but neighbours have also passed comments on the improvements. They communicated at every step of the process and were friendly. They also ensured that no one else was inconvenienced whilst they carried out the work. A big thanks and we can highly recommend this company.

I was recommended to Shane by a large turf and topsoil supplier. He said that even though Shane didn’t work for him any longer, as he was so busy working for himself, that he was the man to save the rear garden of my new house from the dreaded ‘Leatherjackets’.

Within a few minutes of speaking to Shane, it quickly became apparent that his knowledge on these destructive larvae was considerable.

He came to my house very quickly, told me what needed to be done, and provided me with a comprehensive, very competitive quote, within 24 hrs.

He then booked me in as soon as he possibly could to do the work.

On the day he started, he actually had to do quite a bit of extra work stripping my lawn. He hadn’t planned to do this, or quoted to do it, but did it purely because he wanted to do the best job he could for me. He charged me not a penny extra from his original quote!

He and Shelley worked brilliantly together, and 2 days later my new lawn was immaculate. No fuss, no mess, and no complaints about my 3 dogs barking relentlessly at them all day !!

On completion, the next day, Shelley sent out a detailed email telling me exactly how to care for my new lawn, and how to best deal with the Leatherjackets if I have any further problems.

All in all, not only are Shane & shelley really nice, hard working people, they know their stuff, and can’t do enough for their customers. VERY highly recommended

I can really recommend Shane if you are looking to have any work carried out. He and his son spent 4 days completely revamping our back lawn by putting a solid frame all around the area and fitting it with various materials sufficient enough to then lay an artificial lawn on top. What a transformation from a worn out patchy dead lawn to a luscious green flat lawn.

They then spent the next day stripping of our front lawn (same as the back, dead, patchy and uneven) levelling the ground, putting down a layer of “good soil” and laying some lovely green turf. Very pleased with the outcome of both lawns.

Shane advised the best way to water the turf on the front lawn but unfortunately it hasn’t stopped raining since he laid it!!

Very impressed with their work ethic and the way they tidied up at the end of each day. Also gained some useful information regarding the aftercare of the lawns by chatting with him daily and from the fact sheet he supplied upon completion.

Job well done, thank Shane and his son.

Really pleased with the new hardwood 5 bar gate fitted at our property. Shane was really helpful advising on the type of gate providing pictures and options. The gate was delivered with accurate contact on the delivery day. Shane fitted the gate expertly and the gate looks beautiful and opens and closes fabulously, so easy. Would highly recommend.

Very prompt communication, excellent service and a fantastic experience overall. After many years of storms blowing down our fence, and the subsequent ‘fixes’ lasting not long at all, we now have a very sturdy and professionally built fence that also looks fantastic, along with a wonderful gate – all made to measure and installed with care and attention to detail.

We would highly recommend Jackson Landscaping to anyone needing garden work of any kind.

We had a need of a massive clear of the garden at my mum’s house. We have had some frustration in finding a gardening company who would respond to requests (We are aware it’s probably their busiest time of year. I wish we had found Shane and his team sooner. We have had great service and they have done an amazing job – doing exactly what Shane promised, when he promised Awesome and highly recommended. Some before and after photos attached

This is our second project undertaken by Jackson Landscaping Ltd. we were so pleased with the outcome of the first project we called on Shane to provide advice for our ageing decking. Shane gave us a number of options which included the one we decided on. A price and starting date was agreed and the work commenced on time. Shane was always on time and even with the exceptional bad wet weather we now have a beautiful outside area to eat sit and relax weather permitting. 😂 I would have no hesitation in recommending Jackson Landscaping Ltd. to give advice and a quote for your project. Many thanks Shane and Shelley all the best for the future Paul and Carole.

Shane did an amazing job of replacing our patio (including the installation of proper drainage). The new patio is slate, which looks fantastic. He’s very professional, has an eye for detail and works really hard. Would definitely recommend.
