Lawn Treatments from Jackson Landscaping Ltd
Here at Jackson Landscaping Ltd, we know that every lawn is different, which is why you’ll never find us using a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we assess each garden individually, ensuring that we develop a course of action that’s specially designed to make your lawn as beautiful as possible.
To do this, we thoroughly check and inspect your lawn to make the most accurate recommendations possible and with your lawn’s soil type and grass species in mind. Whether your lawn needs to be treated to fend off pests (such as leatherjackets, chafer grubs and ants), fungus, lichen, rusts or mildew; we can recommend and carry out the most appropriate treatments. If your lawn is simply looking a little rough around the edges, we can give your lawn an annual ‘MOT’ by feeding the lawn a nutrient rich fertiliser to encourage grass growth and weed spraying to remove unwanted plant matter, such as dandelions, buttercups, daisies and crabgrass.
With years of experience in the industry, we are lawn care experts and have the skills and knowledge to achieve lawn perfection each and every time. When you choose us, you can be sure that no matter the season, your lawn will look lush, green and healthy all year long!
Lawn Care FAQs
I think my lawn is beyond repair, is there anything you can do?
1. We begin by scarifying the lawn, which helps to remove debris and any build-up of moss and thatch that may have accumulated on the grass. This build-up can suffocate the lawn beneath, preventing it from being effectively nourished in the sward and root zone. This suffocation results in a thin, patchy and dehydrated lawn that can die off quickly during times of drought and extreme heat. Scarification removes this, in order to encourage fresh and hardier grass growth.
2. Next, we aerate the lawn to remove cores of soil and allow oxygen, water and nutrients to penetrate the root zone. Aeration also helps to loosen compacted ground (often caused by high foot traffic), improves surface drainage reduces moss infestation and achieves an optimum foundation for overseeding.
3. Before we overseed the lawn, we fertilise the area to aid the seed’s germination. Fertilisation also helps to encourage the growth of new roots and grass blades.
4. Following fertilisation, the lawn is then reseeded, so that it will grow and become luscious and healthy. The seed should then be left for several weeks and be watered regularly. Results can be seen quickly (dependent on weather conditions) and in time, your lawn will be transformed into something plush and beautiful!
Once we’ve completed the lawn makeover, we’ll recommend an aftercare routine so that you know exactly how to care for and nurture your new lawn.
